97% of investors satisfied with their decisions to invest in Poland

Thursday, December 15, 2016

For the 10th time Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ)  in cooperation with consulting agency Grant Thornton and bank HSBC  conducted a research of the investment climate in Poland. The aim of the study was to evaluate how  foreign investors find the investment conditions and doing business in our country. Foreign investors were asked about their opinion on e.g.  the clarity and coherence of Polish law and how political stability influenced their businesses. This year 103 companies with foreign capital participated in the research.

Investment climate research conducted this year has shown that 97% of foreign investors are satisfied with their decision to enter the Polish market and they would make that decision again. In addition, very important is the fact that the investment climate in our country has been assessed as good, and this is the highest score since the research has been launched a few years ago. The most satisfied with the investment in Poland are entrepreneurs from Belgium, Austria and France.

According to investors, high effectiveness and loyalty of Polish workers exceeds the financial aspects that are low labour costs.

High and continous satisfaction of investors resulting from their decisions to invest in Poland shows that our economy is an attractive destination for foreign capital. As the main advantages were recognized macroeconomic factors, namely the size and stability of the market and strong human capital - employees' productivity and loyalty. What is important, foreign investors rarely indicate the low cost of labor as an important asset of Polish market - in the study this factor was rated relatively low. However, we should not forget about the factors that decrease investment attractiveness of our country and we need to work on their improvement. The areas that require improvement are highly volatile and an uncertain legal framework, taxation and bureaucracy.

We invite you to read the detailed results of the study on investment climate in Poland available on the website of Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ).
