"The Flying Farmers Association” landed in the Lubelskie Voivodeship
On 5-8 June the Lubelskie Voivodeship hosted 39-person delegation, representing the prestigious organization "the Flying Farmers Association". The Association was founded in 1974 and currently has about 400 members. Participation in the association is open to any farmer, forester, landowner and person doing business in agricultural enterprises. The requirement for the new members who want to join the Association is to own a plane or a light aircraft.

Discovering the cultural richness of the Lubelskie region
The Lublin Old Town and the Chapel of the Holy Trinity were the main points in the sightseeing program.

Welcome dinner was a perfect opportunity not only to get to know essential information about the Lubelskie Voivodeship and to meet the representatives of the Marshall’s Office, but also to meet and talk to the compatriots who have been living and working in our region.
Business Academy – the United Kingdom
One of the reasons for organizing the visit of British delegation was the Business Academy – United Kingdom. The seminar was focused on possibilities of cooperation including mutual investments, development of trade between Polish and British entities, as well as the chances of Polish companies to find new trade partners in the United Kingdom. It was a great opportunity to establish direct contacts with representatives of organizations, e.g. during B2B meetings.

We are honored to be able to host in our region such a large delegation from the UK, which has a strong connection with the aviation, agriculture and food processing sectors. I hope that during your stay you will taste Lublin and soon you will come back for more – for business and tourist reasons.

Every year we visit a different country, we travel a lot and I have to admit that we are impressed by the hospitality and kindness of the Polish people. We have a very tight program so we will be happy to come back to see what else the Lubelskie Voivodeship has to offer for us.
Referring to the speech by the Chairman and his plans concerning future cooperation, Artur Habza, the Head of the Department of Economy and International Cooperation, spoke about the possibilities of cooperation and export potential of the Lubelskie Voivodeship.

We hope that openness and declarations will we put into practice. We would like to organize, in cooperation with the Association, the trade mission to the United Kingdom and, therefore, we will continue the cooperation with the UK market.

Poland is bigger than it seems. Economic development is very dynamic, which can be seen also in Great Britain. Polish products, including products from the Lubelskie Voivodeship, can be found in many shops in our country.

After the conference the participants got acquainted with the offer of entrepreneurs and institutions from our region, as well as tasted regional delicacies.
Study visits
Several study visits were organized during the 3-day stay of the guests from the United Kingdom. Our guests visited a few important for the Lubelskie region companies, such as URSUS S.A., and thanks to the courtesy of the Municipal Transport Company the delegation went to the factory by the electric bus. They also visited Perła - Browary Lubelskie S.A and saw impressive basements of the „Perła” brewery, the headquarters of JMP Flowers - the largest and most modern producer of flowers in Poland, as well as the "Wyspa Wisła” leisure complex located nearby.

The guests from the United Kingdom also visited the New Chemical Syntheses Institute, Fertilizer Research Center and Laboratory of Bioactive Compounds.

Visit overview
During the farewell dinner the delegation from the UK met with the representatives of the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Lublin, who presented the biodiversity of the unspoiled nature of Polish forests and hunting offer, and invited the delegation to visit Lublin again and take into consideration hunting together.
At the end the Biznes Lubelskie Team summed up the visit with a brief presentation.
The purpose of the visit of the Flying Farmers Association was to familiarise visitors with the tourist and economic potential of the Lubelskie Voivodeship, with a particular emphasis on the agricultural and food processing sector. Organization of the event contributed to the promotion of the economic, investment and tourist potential of our region among British entrepreneurs.
